1983
1999From a Family Factory to Overseas Markets
In 1999, the second generation took over the family’s sockmaking business and began bringing Qingyi socks to overseas markets. To meet international customers’ needs, the factory comprehensively upgraded its knitting machines and raised its production and quality standards. From equipment and craftsmanship to sampling and delivery, the experience built by the first generation developed into the manufacturing capabilities needed to serve customers around the world.
Reaching new markets also meant earning greater trust. The second generation made a commitment to quality part of everyday production, carrying customers’ requirements through to every pair. As the factory grew, making products with care and approaching every partnership with dedication became an important legacy for the next generation.
2026Carrying Quality Forward, Bringing More Ideas to Life
Having grown up in the factory, the third generation inherited the previous generations’ commitment to quality while looking for new directions. Through conversations with customers and engagement with the market, we have seen rapidly growing demand for POD — Print on Demand. More brands and creators want to turn their designs, photographs and stories into products people can wear.
Building on the high-quality production foundation established by the second generation, we are introducing 360° digital printing into new product development, bringing richer colours and patterns to socks and meeting the personalisation needs of a wider range of customers. From a family workshop to overseas business and now print on demand, Qingyi continues to explore new possibilities while keeping the care that goes into every pair at the heart of its work.
